The second APTU(Asia-Pacific Taxpayers Union) conference will be held in Seoul, Korea, 12-15 October 2006. APTU was organized by all participants at the Founding Meeting of Asia-Pacific Taxpayers Union in Beijing, China, 19 October 2005, and APTU needs to establish a regional cooperation in Asia-Pacific regions. APTU's objective is the protection of taxpayers rights in Asia-Pacific regions. APTU conference in Seoul will provide much-needed opportunity to share their own experience and information on a wide range of tax issues, to enhance taxpayers rights, and to learn know-hows on these issues among Asia-Pacific countries.

KTA(Korea Taxpayers Association) was established in 27th January 2001, and grew rapidly with 850,000 internet members and it became one of the most powerful five NGOs in Korea. In current regime in Korea, tax becomes the most serious political issue as well as social one.

The period of this APTU conference, October, is in the best season in Korea which shows the finest weather and gives abundant fruits. KTA is preparing the APTU conference in Seoul with a lot of time and effort to make all participants enjoy and remember it as the best one.

KTA hopes that all APTU members in Asia-Pacific regions will participate APTU conference in Seoul, and WTA members also will be welcomed.
